Time to go old school camping in a few weeks.

No, Entity isn't coming back. He/she was upset that his repeated post about Final Fantasy XIV were ignored. I personally don't care about FF XIV, but I never disrespected him/her about the whole situation. Then Entity got upset that we talked about wrestling and ignored some of his/her other post too.

I apologized several times in public and private, and told Entity that he/she was always welcome here. Which he/She is.

I feel bad for how it all went down, but I'm not going to force myself to talk about and like things I don't know or care about at all. The entire point of these topics is to talk about what you like. I like wrestling and football and will bring them up from time to time, but I'm not going to get upset if someone doesn't like exactly what I do. I'm almost 40 years old, and the world is way too big and enough things exist in this world that u do or do not card about that I have to limit myself to what I like. I spend 20 hours of week with needles in my chest just to stay alive. Forgive me if I don't want to spend my precious free time on things I have no interest in just to make others happy.

If this sounds catty, then I'm sorry, but I am not going to feel bad for not liking something.

I will say this going forward: If you don't like a subject being talked about, then don't get upset. Just post about what you like, and don't get upset if it's not something you are interested in, we're all adults here.

I'm also sorry if I aired the dirty laundry.

Considering the way Bethesda's been fucking up lately, I'd be less worried about Microsoft ruining Bethesda than I would about Bethesda poisoning Microsoft.

Then again, I've always thought Bethesda's rep has been vastly overinflated for years anyway, so I have like zero nostalgia or love for the company to be fearful of, as opposed to the slow aching tragedy that I've been living through watching EA slit Bioware's throat and then fucking the corpse.

The day EA bought Bioware is the day you can see the soul get extracted from their body. What a shame. As for Bethesda, the only good recent Fallout was "Glitch Vegas." The story was damn good, and Bethesda didn't even make that game.

Microsoft is buying Bethesda Softworks, for a metric **** ton of money. (7.5 billion dollars.) Bethesda claims nothing will change, and they're making the same games that they always will, but that's definitely a lie. Microsoft wants The Elder Scrolls and Doom forXbox alone since Halo isstruggling. (I kind of miss Quake) Definitely to stick it to Sony.

As a Playstation fan, I would be worried, but I don't play The Elder Scrolls, and Microsoft has a history of messing up once great studios and killing studios and franchises. (Rare and Westwood comes to mind.) They've seemed to resurrect Killer Instinct, but then let it die a slow death again. Battletoads was apparently good, but they put it on Gamepass, and no one cares.

It's a big bold move, but we won't see the results until 2023 or 2024, well into this upcoming console generation. It's an arms race, and I'm proud of Microsoft for loading up their guns and firing a shot.

I want to preorder one but it would probably be stupid to do so since first release consoles tend to break.

I still have my original launch PS4. I got it like 2 months after it was released, and it's still going strong. I had to replace my power cord last month, but aside from that I've had no issues.

Now I went through 3 Xbox 360's, and 2 PS3's, and just one Xbone too, so I've had good luck this consoke generation.

Fun fact: I still have my original SNES from 1993 that my dad stole and pawned for crack money. My mom and brother got it back, and it still works. However, my Switch isn't charging anymore. I have no clue if it's my console or power cord with this one either. Off to Amazon.

I wasn't able to get a PS5 pre-order. I tried for like 5 hours on various sites last night, and actually had it in my cart 2 times to check out, and then it just vanished. My local Gameatop had a sign on their door saying that they weren't taking any pre-orders in store at this time, and my last attempt was at Sam's Club, and I had it in my cart, but it vanished too.

I'm done until Tuesday when Walmart is allowing pre-orders in store. If that doesn't work out then I'm fine until possibly Black Friday or the first of the year.

I was so detected by the failed pre-order fiasco that the wife and I went shopping. I got another pair of shoes and sone cologne. Fun fact, Mercedes makes cologne now, and it smells really good. I got a bottle of that instead of Polo Red, it's called Mercedes Move.

Do you honestly expect to escape racism anywhere? At most, you're just exchanging one kind for another.

I don't. I'm a big black man married to a tall pale red head. We kind of stick out when we go places or do anything. It's just the cost of doing business. However, The deep south Bible belt region is just horrible when it comes to just about everything. If we had kids I would consider leaving just so we could raise our kids in a more intelligent and positive environment. Our food is the bomb though.

The hurricane is now veering east, and going to destroy Mobile and Pensacola. We will get some wind and rain, but the doom and gloom is going yo be delayed for the next hurricane.

That's good news because we just moved over here to this house, and we haven't even looked into purchasing a home gas or propane generator for when the next big hurricane decides to not go to Florida for his or her vacation, and instead hit us and knock out power for weeks at a time.

The other good news is that after dialysis tomorrow at 3pm central time there will be the Sony PS5 press conference, and I'll have power at my house to watch it live tomorrow.

Damm weather machine must have run out of batteries or souls to keep the hurricanes away from here. I haven't looked at the forecast too closely, as I'm watching football, napping, vomiting, and playing with the cats, but Sally is scheduled to hit as a category 2 storm on Tuesday.

We have full gas tanks and supplies, and are moving the patio furniture into the garage. This is old hat for us, but the thought of a few days without a.c. or power in general stinks.

Speaking of Wednesday, we could either be getting a real strong tropical storm or a really weak hurricane. It doesn't look as if we're dodging this one. Hopefully we will get just some heavy rain and thunderstorms.

All in all, she hasn't done that much stuff I've seen, although a few series I'm familiar with (like the (not Marvel) Avengers).

I didn't think about her breast size when the lady DIED. It's a bizarre comment that seems out of place. She was also like 90. I'm just not sure the point or the value.

Sony is still awfully quiet about the PS5.

Ubisoft has a press conference later today, (Those rumors of a new Prince of Persia, which I'm excited about, are going to be confirmed.) and that probably stopped Sony from responding today. Still Ubisoft probably won't show us Beyond Good & Evil 2.

Then Apple has a press conference next Tuesday to announce their new line of slightly upgraded over priced products, which leaves later next week, probably Thursday of next week to announce the price and release date of the PS5.

Stay tuned.

Also, I have Kansas City beating Houston tonight 38 - 31 in an opening night shootout.

I hope you all had a great Labor Day. I went to dinner with Oreon and watched him eat a half rack of ribs in under a minute. I was scared for the already dead cow and his fingers too. The macaroni didn't fare very well either. (A shike bowl in two shovels into his mouth.)

While we were at dinner a Twitter spy broke the news about the Xbox Series S. (Note: Going forward I'm not allowed to refer to the Xbox Series X as the Sex Box instead it will be called the "Mini Fridge")

The Mini Fridge has a little brother, the Series S or as we will call it going forward "Bluetooth Speaker." The Bluetooth Speaker will be 299.99 and do things just not as well as the "Mini Fridge."

Papa Vince has decreed from up high from his mountain in Connecticut that no one is allowed to make money off the clock without his permission, even if they're using their real name. Basically, by October 2nd they won't be able to use Twitch or YouTube to stream and possibly earn extra revenue or exposure.

My thoughts are that WWE is about to start an official Twitch channel and they don't want a bunch of smaller streams, or possibly larger sreams, competing with the Official WWE Stream. Also, as we've discussed earlier Vince doesn't understand the modern world and hates and wants to squash everything he doesn't understand.

He's an old man yelling at everyone to, "Get off his lawn."

Let's switch gears and talk about Nintendo and their insanity.

Nintendo is porting Mario 64, Mario Sunshine (Mario with a water gun) and Mario Galaxy 1 (Mario in Space) to the Switch with upscaled visuals and reworked controls. It's for Mario's 35th Anniversary which is cool.

Now the insanity...

First no Mario Galaxy 2 (Mario still in Space) included in the bundle. No one knows why, but okay. Then these A******** say that if you don't buy the game by March 2021 then you'll never be able to get it again. A damn 6 month sale then it's over forever, yeah they can go to hell.

Why does Nintendo always do this artificial shortage crap? Every single big ticket product is a struggle to get. The Wii, 3DS, Aniibo, The Switch. It's old and I'm sick of their insanity.

I asked about the SJW because while it's a little annoying, it doesn't effect my enjoyment of a product or service. The story is the story, and that's the end of it for me. I don't get upset at the characters in the story unless it's written badly in my perspective. However, who they're sleeping with or who they like to sleep with aren't a secret ploy by society as a whole to push an agenda.

And if there is an agenda, and that agenda is to expose a new group of people to a different set of stories and conflicts then that's fine.

Maybe being a minority has given me a unique perspective in life and in media. Until very recently black people didn't get staring roles in movies where we weren't stereotyped so badly that we became caricatures. Thus I have empathy toward LGBTQ characters and their stories, and don't mind plot points around those issues, and I don't automatically get upset or triggered when it happens.

As I mentioned before I love Black Panther and my wife loves Wonder Woman for vastly different reasons, but sometimes it's good to be represented in media, and if you don't like what's going on then just don't watch or play, but don't rain on others people's joy of something especially if you know the product isn't for you.

In all honesty, I'm not entirely sure why anybody would expect it to have ps2 bc since even the ps3 didn't have that on most models. Then the ps4 couldn't play ps1 discs.

In general, even though the media format is the same, it's unrealistic to expect a console to have four generations of bc. If it couldn't play ps4 games, I'd be calling foul, though. Honestly, I'm not entirely sure why I bothered buying a ps4 when I could have skipped the generation and just bc'd on a ps5... then again, I think I'm more or less done with traditional console gaming. I kinda suspect that a lot of my enthusiasm for that shit dimmed when I saw the industry kowtowing to SJWs who will never play their games anyway but want to force changes that make gaming worse in an attempt to build their personal brands so they don't have to get real jobs.

What? SJW stuff are you talking about specifically?

Covid affects people differently, but African Americans, such as myself and my brother, don't fare too well when compared to Caucasians.

A perfect example of this is Oreon who tested positive for covid a month ago. He got very sick and had to go to the emergency room at least twice, coughing non stop and short of breath. He did not have any underlying conditions, and is extremely healthy, goes to the gym every day. His girlfriend, who is white, and has a thyroid condition, also tested positive for covid, but hasn't been sick a single day, not even the sniffles.

The lesson is don't get covid... just in case.

I leave for a few hours to help my sister and niece with their calculus, (brain hurts) homework, and you geeks devolve into murdering hitchhikers and the homeless.

Look, I can't support the killing of random worthless strangers, but I will say that having the directions to an out of state pig farm is very handy. Sometimes you may need to remove the teeth dependent on how hungry the pigs are, and if you do that make sure to leave no DNA evidence behind of your teeth extraction. All trophies should be kept off site. All cellphones should be left at home for alibi purposes. Any extra materials you need you buy in cash, out of state, months in advance.

But these tips are hypothetical. Good hunting. I mean don't hurt people or something.

Weather Dominator or not the two dueling hurricanes have completely missed me along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. They both went west of here, or are going west of here in the case of Laura, and as usual, since Katrina, have gone west of here and either destroyed Louisiana or South West Texas.

Either way, Oregon and I are safe, and we will just have to deal with the pandemic and my healing stomach surgery wound. Overall, we dodged another bullet. I hope everyone else is doing well.

On a separate note: I have maybe ten physical books, a couple of Dickens reprints directly from England and a copy of Sherlock Holmes, but I have video games and figures on display in my room and at my house. Plus a lot of comic books in my garage. I don't feel the need to impress strangers or guest with my book knowledge either. Plus I don't have a proper library to display them anyway.

Well, it's that time of the year.

The Annual pray for Wave because a hurricane is being shot towards his rear end, Post!

However, this year it's 2 hurricanes that are heading towards us here on the Mississippi gulf coast. 2020 is a son of a motherless Goat isn't she?

Last year I was sparred at the last minute because P.O. used his weather machine to send Hurricane Kristobal (crystal ball) to the east at the last possible minute. Giving us the west and safer (weaker) side of the storm, and nothing happened.

We need that kind of luck today. If not it'll be at least a week before I start posting again. We'll know more by tomorrow morning for sure.

I felt like it was a mostly mediocre film, that kind of got vastly overpraised because it was the first film in the crossover DCU that wasn't complete shit, and because of the mileage they milked out of the female lead (WOMG BESTEST FILM EVAR!). It definitely feels like, if it had been part of the MCU instead, and had a male lead, it wouldn't have even remotely gotten the amount of praise it did.

In a lot of ways, it kind of felt like a lamer retread of Captain America 1, just with an earlier war and done less effectively.

It wasn't a terrible film. But it wasn't a great film, either.

Unfortunately, it's still right up there towards the top of the list for "Best DCU Films" with Aquaman as the only real competition (and maybe Shazam, but I'm still not sure if that technically counts as part of the full DCU right now, because I'm not sure Warner Bros knows either), because everything else is just so bad.

Though speaking of bad DC films, Suicide Squad 2 apparently announced the full cast list today.

And in news that most people will completely miss, but comic nerds may pick up on, John Cena is essentially playing the character who was the original model for The Comedian in Watchmen.

Yeah, The Peacemaker is an old Charlton comics character that Alan Moore used as inspiration for The Comedian. He hasn't appeared in a comic for a while. Maybe 15 years or so.

It doesn't look horrible, but I feel like the bar was set so low for me personally after the first Wonder Woman film, that this will be more of the same mediocrity. (Maybe much like how a film like Black Panther is made for me, a black urban male, a film like Wonder Woman was made for women, like my wife, who loves the first film, as I love Black Panther.)

Which is a shame because I love Gal Godot and Chris Pine as Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor respectively. The bad CGI is going to be what it is, and I don't like Kristen Wig, but im going to get drugged to this film, and I hope it's not as predictable as the finsale of the first film.

Spoiler guess for WW84....

My guess for the ending based on the trailer and the other DCEU films js that once Maxwell Lord us killed, locked up, and his wish granting machine is destroyed, Steve will disappear once again leaving Diana sad and alone, but she won't give up the fight. (Roll credits)

Renee Young put in her notice with WWE. It was a long time coming, but probably made a lot easier when she got covid from work. They also weren't testing on a regular basis at WWE until a little over a month ago, that's when she got the virus at the performance center. Her husband being the top guy at AEW doesn't hurt either.

People have criticized Roman Reigns for not wanting to work and canceling his match at Manila with Goldberg, but if safety standards aren't in place how can he be expected to show up to work with already being immune compromised, and having new borns at home?

Then Brock Lesnar will rear his milk dud ass head after Summerslam, and i dislike him so much as both a wrestler and performer. He's dangerous and not fun to watch in my opinion, unless he's losing.

There's more wrestling stuff, but I'll talk about that later.

Has Halo ever been totally open-world before?

No, not to my knowledge. I mean it's super ambitious, but it seems more in line with what Bungie is doing with Destiny than 343 with Halo. Every game series needs to evole, but if you're not going to do it right then don't do it at all. 343 isn't doing it right at all.

A rumor came out today that Halo: Infinite was partly delayed, and looked like hot ass because of a split in departments between the video game production teams, and the television production teams.

Later that day 343 said that this isn't true, and that the production of the long in development Halo television series had nothing to do with the game being pushed back, and delayed until sometime in 2020. 343 also claimed that outsourcing of parts of the game to smaller studios didn't go as planned, and that's why we got the pop up demo we got.

As usual with rumors I think it's a tale of a little from column A and a little from column B. I think a lot of the focus from the game was shifted to the television show, but I think the demo shown at the sex box showcase was what 343 intended based on a game that started development for the xbone one, and was just ported to the sex box with upscale visuals and framerate.

Basically Halo: Infinite is an open world Xbox One game, and a delay to next year isn't going to change that at all. Still, the game should look a lot better than it did after 5 years of development and half a billion dollars of production money spent.

I'm not sure whether my Playstation 4 died or my power cord died, but the bloody thing isn't turning on. I had Bank Robber taken a look at it too, and we concluded the same thing. I'm hoing to buy a new power cord today, but if that doesn't work then I'll just buy a PS5 and not worry about my ps4 anymore.

I glossed over the most important part, which is I've healed enough after stomach surgery to move around and play games again. I get a heavy dose of "Sodium Thiosulphate 3 times a week, and I found out it's used in cyanide poisoning and cancer treatments, which is why I'm nauseous for hours after I leave dialysis.

It's worth the sickness to feel better again. I hope my Playstation 4 feels better again after cord surgery.

James Wan, director of Aquaman, says that he wants to "Spice it up" with Aquaman 2 by adding more horror elements to the film.

Get out of town with that nonsense.

I finally watched Birds of Prey last night.

It was a metric **** ton better than Batman Vs Superman, Justice League, and Suicide Squad. The movie felt like everyone in front of the camera was having fun, and every thing behind the camera made sense. (Script, choreography, editing, etc) Obi-Wan was having so much fun as Black Mask!

Granted, the bar was low to begin with as I didn't love their crown jewelry of the DCEU, Wonder Woman either, and Aquaman was passable. So, I guess my expectations were low from the start, and they cleared that very low bar.

If anyone else has seen the film tell me if I'm wrong and what you think!
